Pre-Tan Preparation
24/48 Hours Before your Appointment
Exfoliate
Focus on knees, elbows, hands, and other dry areas to remove previous tan, dead skin and create a smooth base.
Hair Removal
Shave 24 hours before, Wax 48 hours before a tan. Remember, we do not mind body hair, its natural! It's really important you do not remove hair the night before or day of your appointment.
Moisturise
Apply moisturiser on the days leading up to your appointment. Skin hydration is Key!
Hydrate
Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.
Nails, Brows & Beauty Appointments
Consider booking pedicures, manicures, brows, lashes, waxing & other beauty treatments at least 24 hours before your spray tan as these treatments can strip tanning products. (Just don't book them straight after your spray tan....please!)
For your Appointment
Cleanse, remove jewellery & watch!
Bathe or shower with oil-free soap to remove makeup, deodorant, or moisturiser. Do not reapply afterwards or wear these products to your appointment. Try not to bathe or shower just before your appointment as this can open your pores. Watch strap indentations can cause tan lines on your wrist. (Brides remove that apple watch a few days before your tan!)

What to Wear
Whatever you feel comfortable in! We can provide disposable G-Strings, nipple covers, hair ties and hair covers. You can wear underwear, bikini's, swimming costumes, go topless & even nude! The darker the clothing the better due to the cosmetic bronzer in the solutions. Just consider your tan lines for events and outfit choices!
After Your Spray Tan
Straight after your spray tan...
What to Wear
Loose, dark clothing and flipflops. Keep in mind tight underwear, clothing or shoes will cause tan lines or potential rub off.
Development
Let your tan develop for the recommended time before rinsing. Rinse times vary depending on your treatment and we will advise you when you should rinse off. It takes 8 - 12 hours for the tan to develop any colour regardless of rinse timings. What you see straight away is a cosmetic bronzer not the true final look (Unless you are having a clear treatment). The finished glow will develop fully, 24 hours after your appointment.
Exercise and Water
Avoid sweating and getting wet. No bathing, swimming, exercise or getting caught in the rain!
Showering
Once developed, shower (with no soap) until the water runs clear, use your hands to evenly wash off the bronzer then gently pat your skin dry with your towel.

Maintaining your Glow

Bathing
Try to avoid long baths, hot tubs or swimming (but enjoy your holidays, just bear in mind your tan will fade quicker after doing these activities.) Top tip: Rinse Chlorine off your skin after swimming to help your tan last longer!
Gentle Exfoliation & Moisturising
Keep your skin hydrated! This is the key to a longer lasting tan. Gradual Tanning Lotions work wonders. By day 5, start to gently exfoliate when washing to encourage an even fade, especially on wrists, ankles & neckline.
How long will my tan last?
Depending on after care and lifestyle, your tan will begin to fade on days 6 and 7.
Perfect prep and maintenance can see results last up to 7- 10 days.
